ELLIE BOND

Ellie Bond is an aspiring actress and singer graduating from UGA with a Theatre B.A. with an acting emphasis, Musical Theatre Certificate, and Biology B.S. this May. She is passionate about theatre, film, and music as art forms and powerful methods of communication between performer and audience that can be utilized to enhance empathy, and advocate for social justice and climate change causes (hence the biology study). She is also passionate about education, not only through the medium of performance, but within performance, encouraging creativity in young students—as she has done in theatre summer camps.

Along with establishing her future goals in the performance realm, Ellie has gained practical performance experience at UGA. She has been in three UGA productions: Roz in 9 to 5 (dir. George Contini), understudied two liebeslieders in A Little Night Music (dir. Daniel Ellis), and Merchant and Messenger in Comedy of Errors (dir. Jeremiah Albers). Additionally, she has portrayed Mrs. Fleming (and u/s Veronica) in Heathers and Vivian in Legally Blonde with student groups at UGA, and starred in a number of student films. Ellie has also discovered a fondness for the production & technical aspects of performance via her time working as a student assistant in the costume shop and her role as General Manager in UGA’s musical theatre club, Next Act.
