MARA MERSHON

Mara Mershon is a 21-year-old singer, actress, and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia, with a passion for storytelling. In May, she will be graduating from the University of Georgia with degrees in Theatre and Journalism, as well as a Musical Theatre Certificate.

She has been seen on the University of Georgia Fine Arts Stage in 9 to 5 (Ensemble), in UGA’s Musical Theatre Showcase production of Urinetown (Little Sally), and with UGA’s student-run musical theatre organization, Next Act, in Into the Woods (The Witch). Mara has also trained with Broadway Dreams in Atlanta and was honored to place 3rd overall in the 5A category at the Southeastern Region National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition. In addition to her stage work, Mara is active in student-run UGA films and looks forward to pursuing opportunities in both film and theatre when she moves back to Atlanta.
