NATALIE HAMM

Natalie Hamm (she/they) is an actor earning her B.A. in Theatre with an Acting Emphasis and Musical Theatre Performance Certificate from UGA. She loves theatre and film and believes in the power of performance to incite change. She is passionate about telling queer stories and creating opportunities to merge multiple art forms. She considers herself a Jack of All Trades as she is constantly learning and teaching herself new things. In addition to acting, singing, and dancing, Natalie loves reading, writing, drawing, fashion design, cosplay, playing guitar, music production, directing, voice acting, and learning languages. One of her goals is to go abroad and perform in a foreign language. She believes theatre is an art form that can transcend any barriers.

One experience that inspired this passion was getting to play Kattrin, a mute character, in UGA Theatre’s production of Mother Courage and Her Children (dir. Justin Anderson). She credits the role as being her most challenging, and the one that helped her grow as an actor the most. Natalie also was able to understudy Raelynn in John Proctor is the Villain (dir. Sloan Garner) with UGA Theatre. Outside of college, she has performed in a number of community theatre productions including playing Paula Abagnale in Catch Me If You Can, Matron “Mama” Morton in Chicago, and Tsarina Alexandra in Anastasia, all with Red Phoenix Theatre Company (dir. Eric Bragg). She has also written, directed, and starred in some student short films. She thanks all of her professors and coaches for getting her to where she is and continuing to inspire her love for performing.
