NINA BLAIR
Nina Blair (she/her) is a graduating senior from the University of Georgia with a major in Theatre and emphases in performance and sound design. Her previous UGA credits include Everybody/Somebody in Everybody, Swiss Cheese in Mother Courage and her Children, and Robert in Sense & Sensibility. Outside of UGA productions she has appeared as Lukas in The Grown-Ups with Ars Gratia Artis (AGA) Student Theatre Company and Eugene in Grease with Next Act Student Theatre Company.
In addition to performing, Nina works as a sound designer for many UGA productions. Her UGA sound design credits include New Georgia Grant winner The Finest Hour by Arwa Abdelrahman, New Georgia Grant winner The Art of Noticing by Dyllon Glaze, and 9 to 5: The Musical directed by George Contini. She has also sound designed shows with AGA including I'm Gonna Marry You, Tobey Maguire and Fever/Dream. In addition to sound design she has also stepped into a directing role, directing the play No Exit with AGA.
After acting in an AGA show, Nina now serves as the technical director for the student company, and has helped produce and build the past 2 seasons’ shows. She is also in the UGA sketch comedy group, Sharkwing, where she writes, directs, and acts in sketches, while also serving as the group’s technical chair. She is very passionate about theatre, film, and sketch comedy and believes in their individual powers to serve communities and inspire others. She merges her performance skills with her technical background to create a dynamic skill set that serves both sides of the stage. After graduating, Nina will head to Dennis, Massachusetts to serve as an Audio/Lighting Apprentice at Cape Playhouse for their summer season!
